and started with me - as with almost everyone - with the recorder and not really the storm of enthusiasm for wood triggered. I like tin and metal, obviously. A short detour into the world of the accordion was enough for a few photos under the Christmas tree, and I couldn't get any further for 50 years. After all, thanks to my sister Doris, a piano has moved into our apartment, which mainly served as a monumental base for the cage and budgie, which loudly supported me in my improvisational skills. We were the perfect band. If I played, he whistled, if I stopped, he didn't whistle either. Solo play was impossible. Nevertheless, I made it into a blues and dixie band on the piano, until a friend put me in a sousaphine shortly before I came of age, from which I have not been able to get away to this day.

Several decades have passed since then, and I've remained loyal to the piano and the sousaphone, although two tubas have joined the mix for competition. And lo and behold, even the accordion has found its way back to me. The LATIN HORNS'N'DRUMS and the PROTONES were important bands. I also founded the ZUERI MIDWEEK JAM at Falcone in Zurich, and anyone wanting to know more about FLEM JAZZ FLIMS should inquire here. Currently, the FIESTA STREET HORNS are the band keeping me busy... You can see more by clicking on the icons below:
